Chozen is a non- profit mentoring organization designed to support young men and women within the community. Our services include male and female identity development, personal hygiene, heritage, respect for all, healthy relationships, effective communication, investment in education, social responsibility, dealing with authority figures, goal setting, values and priorities, decision making, resilience, thriving in elementary, middle, high school and college, career interests, and more.

Min. Vachal L. Moore Jr.,
Min. Vachal L. Moore, Jr. is the founder of ChoZen Mentoring, a local 501c3 Non Profit Youth Mentoring Organization founded in 2016 in Detroit, Mi . The mission of ChoZen is to offer guidance, support, and encouragement to young people in the Detroit area. The organization fills an emotional, social, and professional programming gap through mentoring and life skills training. Currently ChoZen has served more than 350 young men and women from the ages of 5 to 18. A former member of the AmeriCorps Urban Safety Program and a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Moore understands the important connection between community service and empowerment. ChoZen gives young men and women the tools to empower themselves to make decisions that preserve their freedom and their lives every day. Anyone that knows him knows he has a heart to survive and will give the clothes off his back to get them what they need to be great.
Min. Moore has further served as a Educator, Mentor, youth leader, Director of youth, Vice President for several organizations and ministries within the metro Detroit area such as the Calvary District Baptist Association, Morning View Missionary Baptist Church, Journey 2 Healing, Burton International Academy PTA and Community outreach coordinator, and Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church - Associate Pastor and Community outreach liaison. Through all these roles Mr. Moore has been able to widen his reach to serve even more youth in Metro Detroit and surrounding areas, committing to over 1,500 community service hours.
Mr. Moore is the recipient of multiple Awards such as the The Governors Service Award, Spirit of Detroit Award, ChoZen Man of the Year Award, The Mayoral Leadership Award along with Special Recognition from the State of Michigan and Governor Gretchen Whitmer, The Zaavan A. Farmer Man of the Year Award, along with special accolades from the Kim Butler Show, Hot 107.5 FM, and WWJ 950 AM radio stations.
Min Moore is the proud husband of Mrs. Patricia A. Moore, and Father of Kenedi and Noah Moore, who believes that the sky's the limit and nothing is too hard to accomplish without endurance and GOD.
